TechMate Term 4 2020

One of my favourite events each term is TechMates!
The evening is for girls from Grade 4 – 6 to invite a significant male in their lives to come along and enjoy some ‘creating and making’, usually with technology; but not always.
Our girls this term with their significant male; mostly dads, uncles and grandads, really took on board the challenge of engaging with Makey Makey. We had so many fantastic and creative responses to the challenge. Many had a Christmas feel.
The girls and their TechMate created amazing interactives including; sounds of the rainforest, a clarinet, mystery sound box, Santa’s Sack, 3D Christmas game, hopscotch challenge, Plate controller for navigating a colourful Christmas beetle, snowman catching the Christmas cake, bongo challenge, Santa’s Poster Interactive… with plenty of physical action! and of course a rock band! Just so many creative solutions to our challenge!
