TechMate Evening

TechMate Evenings are for girls from years 4 – 6 once a term to spend time with a significant male in their lives to discover the wonders of technology.

Last week our TechMates enjoyed an evening of designing, making, testing and finally playing interactive games, which they made using @littleBits (magnetic electronic building blocks). They were first inspired by watching the fabulous video of Caine’s Arcade followed by the TED talk by Ayah Bdeir, inventor of LittleBits.

TechMates explored resources provided and discovered the capabilities of the magnetic electronic building block through playing with them!

Imaginations were in overdrive as the girls and their TechMate made challenging games which everyone then enjoyed playing!
