Inviting the girls to make…

collecting ideasDuring the next term in Library skills the girls were learning how to find topics in the non-fiction area of the library so I made this WebQuest.

The literature activity was for the girls to find a book which interested them to create ‘something’. The girls researched and collaborated in accessing materials and planning how to ‘make’ their chosen idea.x

Some of the ‘stuff’ girls made included: lavender doll, guitars, snow globe, fabric picture, ball game, dress-up dalmatian outfit, miniature windmill, dolls house, decorated sandshoes, old books into shapes. I’m sure I’ve missed some, but the girls were very creative and enjoyed the challenges which the task brought them. It was exhibiting DIY and DIT…..do it yourself and do it together!
