Some time ago while I was out running I received a phone call from Chris Harte (educational consultant) to talk about the development of the Makerspace Megan and I were creating in our school library. This led to further conversations, articles being written, webinars and hangouts.
Educational Services Australia have created a website, The Digital Technologies Hub, which unpacks the Digital Technologies curriculum with plenty of information and resources for primary and secondary teachers as well as leaders in schools. It also has ideas and links for students and families…..creating a Makerspace at home!
St Aidan’s features as one of the case studies.
Megan and I talk about how we integrate the DT curriculum through our library program and the Makerspace. Both the teachers’ and students’ perspectives are discussed in the case studies.
Two students, Amy and Alyse, share their experiences in our Makerspace.
In this webinar Chris Harte explains the features of The Digital Technologies Hub
