Trendy TechMate!

TechMate evenings have been so popular that a second one was offered in Term 3.

TechMate evenings are for girls from grades 4 – 6 to invite a significant male in their lives; dad, granddad, brother, uncle to join them for an evening of time together, working together, sharing ideas, learning new skills and knowledge, trying new technologies, socialising, meeting new friends and having FUN!

This term TechMates were introduced to Doodle Bots. A Doodle Bot is a little robot that draws on its own. The Doodle Bots operates off of a vibrating motor that helps the robot skip across a piece of paper. This activity brought a little art into electrical engineering! Designing and creating the Doodle Bots involved working with batteries, wire, switches, motors and even a soldering iron was on hand!
