Making the most of 2020 with Technology!

Its been a year like none other for most people who have  been trying to make the most of this ‘unprecedented’ situation. It has been great to hear stories of how people have been challenged to be innovative and adapt with the aid of technology to survive and grow! Not only have teachers shone with online learning but many businesses have adapted and changed!

I’ve watched and admired, from a distance, how my incredible sister-in-law has taken her business online. Sheila is UK based and runs events, and of course this all came to a halt very early in 2020. So this is what she did….

“Born from the love of helping to connect people, and to see all businesses do more business, Sheila started a local networking group 10 years ago which is still meeting monthly, via Zoom, and going strong. Soon her many business contacts encouraged her to hold a Business Expo and that’s where it all began. Sheila is running several Expos now, and even in the current economic climate has re-invented the Expo online with brand new state-of-the-art software developed specifically for Your Business Expo.”

Sheila is truly an inspirational person and thrives on seeing other people connect and win the day! Being resilient, open to change and learning, creative and problem-solving by thinking critically, being brave and taking risks have certainly been demonstrated in Sheila’s story. Skills, values and attitudes being emphasised and highlighted for the 21st century. Please have a listen to her speaking with Simon Cox…
