Love a ‘whodunit’ novel….

A wonderful evening was spent at the Quick Brown Fox Bookshop, where Megan Daley was in conversation with Carla Salmon. Carla’s debut novel is a fiery whodunit—a thriller of surf and sea. We Saw What You Started is a suspenseful exploration of loyalty, family, and friendship. Megan led the conversation with skill and plenty of humour, delving into the writing process and the inspiration behind the novel.

It was delightful to see several students of Carla and my daughter, Kimberley, in attendance. Carla and Kimberley teach together at Brisbane Grammar School.

Megan also shared the revised edition of Raising Readers—very exciting! You can learn a little more about her book here.

It was especially rewarding for me to see my daughter’s teaching partner and my former teaching partner in conversation… and to have my granddaughter, Penelope, at her first book launch with these two talented ladies.
