Making in the Classroom.

After a very successful ‘Connection Day’ involving makerspace activities I was delighted when our wonderful Prep teacher, who also runs  Young Masterminds told me I would love what had been happening in the Prep class……..and I DID!

Fluffy the class teddy was having his 6th birthday and the girls were going to bring their own toys in for a sleep over and party. Before that could happen the girls had to design and make a bed for their toy to sleep in. So measuring, weighing, planning materials and sketching took place as can be seen in the photo. Then the ‘making’ started. The girls created some wonderful beds…with steps, canopies, four-posted, bunk beds and ones with cords to pull to put lights on and slides to get out of bed!

The next day after the sleep over Fluffy was found on top of the projector and plenty of items scattered around the room…..left from a FUN night of partying!
