Christmas Cardboard Arcade

Pic Collage

Following on from our History unit which incorporated the ideologies of the makerspace, the girls watched Caine’s Arcade.

After studying how Australia has populated since Federation and Christmas is nearly upon us….I thought the girls could see how Christmas is celebrated in different countries and create an arcade game with a Christmas theme.

CardDesignGamedesign So after designing a game the girls only had a couple of lessons to make their arcade game!

Construction started….a library with a makerspace is always interesting in appearance!

We then invited the younger students to come and enjoy the arcade…..so much fun! Teachers and our Junior School Principal and our High School Principal supported the girls rejoicing in their success with amazing arcade skills!!!!
